My New Position With The Vitality Team !!!

Hello Everybody!  I’m the newest member of the Vitality team at the Ravenna location as the onsite Massage and Nutritional Therapy Practitioner and I’m very pleased to be included in such a stellar group of people to help you!  I will be doing my best to contribute to your health and well-being, your comfort, and helping you to achieve your goals here and in life.

Nutritional Therapy can affect all aspects of life from finally getting really good sleep to brain health and being happy and more calm to increasing flexibility as well as losing weight, detoxing and helping your body heal so joint and body pains go away.  I’m very heavy into the MTHFR gene research since I have it myself …and 30% of the population…some studies say 40% for women! This is cutting edge but my main focus remains on you…your struggles, worries, goals…How can I help you? What can we overcome, unblock, release and/or improve together?

As far as Massage goes, we all know it’s great for relaxation, sense of well-being, etc. – and for that I do a great Swedish Massage, Hot Stone Massage and variations – with aromatherapy included!  I’m a Brian Utting School of Massage grad, working in massage for 15 years now. Experience fine-tunes if you listen. I specialize in Injury Treatment Massage, Sports Massage, NMT (NeuroMuscular Technique), Deep Tissue Massage, Myofascial Release, trigger points-- those techniques that can correct posture, bring healing and range of motion to injured/frozen/stiff/stuck muscles and joints and release knots and scar tissue. The kind that can improve your golf game, basketball/baseball/tennis or any other sport, finally release that chronic neck or shoulder pain or stiffness, roll those shoulders back so you can stand straight and be in balance and at ease, address those leg and hip issues so you can walk with ease…Very effective  with Pilates!
My massage is usually slow and easy, listening to the muscles themselves and following where they open- up. I listen to the body and to the client and use all the tools I've learned over the last 15yrs to get the results desired.
I LISTEN: to the body, to the client, to the muscles... and wait for them to allow me in - to the deeper muscles. Thus I can effect profound changes without the pain that might be associated with other Deep Tissue Massages.  Sciatica, carpal tunnel, rotator cuff, back pain, neck pain...very specific work with real results.  And I'm intuitive.

We can come up with a program or one-visit plan specifically tailored to your needs and wants.

Benefits of Different Massage Treatments Given by a Professional Therapist

There really is no problem if you want to get some good massage because there are many therapists that could give you such services. However, it would be a different story if you are talking about a professional therapist. A Seattle professional massage therapist is well trained and is licensed to perform different massage techniques to his or her customers. Given that there are several kinds of massage treatments you can get, what are the benefits you could get from each?

One of the most common type of massage offered in massage clinics is the Swedish massage. Among the many other types of massage treatments, the Swedish massage focuses on bringing the body to a more relaxed state and providing better blood circulation to the body. Although it is quite different from a circulatory massage, which is mainly focused on improving the blood flow, a Swedish massage still perks up both mental and physical functions of the body.

Professional massage clinics also offer connective tissue massages. This type of therapy is directed to treating restrictions in the muscle fascia. When the procedure is done, it helps in relieving muscular tension, thus improving movement of the muscles. This type of massage if often associated with a similar technique, which is the deep tissue massage. However, with deep tissue massage, it involves the deeper muscular layers aside from the more superficial connective tissues.

Another form of massage therapy that especially needs the attention of a professional massage therapist is the sciatic nerve massage. The sciatic nerve is a delicate nerve and is the longest nerve in the body. The sciatic nerve often gets stressed and would cause pain that comes from the lower back, the hips and radiates all the way through the leg and to some extent down to the foot. This is the kind of pain that is alleviated by the sciatic nerve massage therapy.

All the types of massage mentioned above involves applying pressure into some parts of the body. A form of massage that makes use of stones is also performed by professionals. It is actually a hot stone massage which mainly improves relaxation when applied properly.

Therapeutic massages are generally beneficial to a person’s health. It is all the more helpful, especially if it is given by a Seattle professional massage therapist. if you get services from a professional, you will be assured that the therapy is perform carefully for optimal effects.
